Water Damage Disclaimer & Liability Waiver

Effective Date: November 1, 2024

Water-damaged devices present unique and unpredictable risks. By submitting your device to Cell City for water damage diagnostics or repair, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. No Guarantee of Repair

Water damage can cause corrosion, short circuits, and internal component failure that may not be immediately visible.

By proceeding with service, you understand and agree:

• Repair success cannot be guaranteed

• The device may fail at any time, even after successful repair

• Additional issues may appear days or weeks later

• A device may become completely non-functional during diagnostic or repair attempts

2. Risk of Total Device Failure

During the cleaning, drying, or repair process:

• The device may stop powering on

• The motherboard may short

• The screen may fail

• The device may become permanently unusable

You accept full risk of total device failure.

3. Data Loss Acknowledgment

Water damage frequently affects storage components.

By submitting your device, you acknowledge:

• Data may be permanently lost

• Cell City is not responsible for loss of photos, contacts, apps, documents, or other digital content

• You are solely responsible for backing up your device prior to service

4. Corrosion & Delayed Failure

Water causes progressive corrosion. Even if the device works after repair:

• Corrosion may continue internally

• Future malfunction is possible

• Repair is considered temporary stabilization unless otherwise stated

Cell City makes no guarantee of long-term reliability on water-damaged devices.

5. Limited Warranty (If Applicable)

Unless otherwise stated in writing:

• Water damage repairs carry NO warranty

• Replaced parts are not covered if future failure is related to corrosion

• Warranty is void if further water exposure occurs

6. Diagnostic & Cleaning Fees

Water damage diagnostic and cleaning fees:

• Are non-refundable

• Cover labor regardless of repair outcome

• Are due even if the device cannot be restored

7. Liability Limitation

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

Cell City’s total liability for water-damaged devices is strictly limited to the amount paid for diagnostic or repair services.

We are not liable for:

• Loss of business

• Loss of income

• Emotional distress

• Data recovery costs

• Replacement device costs

• Any indirect or consequential damages

8. Abandonment Policy

If the device is not picked up within 30 days after notification, it may be considered abandoned and disposed of or recycled to recover service costs.
